Answer

The http receive-timeout refers to a delay during a particular HTTP transaction.

  • The client receive-timeout references the time it takes between TCP/IP connection setup and the receipt of a complete HTTP request from the Browser.
  • The server receive-timeouts references the time it take between sending a complete HTTP request to the server and receiving any response.
  • The refresh receive-timeout is identical to the server receive-timeout except for that it applies to requests that are not associated with a client-side request (pipelining or refresh).
