How do I configure Putty to use a Socks Proxy?

On ProxySG:

  1. In the ProxySG   Management Console, select Configuration > Services > Proxy Services.
  2. In the Standard list, set SOCKS to “Intercept”.
  3. Click Apply.
On Putty:
  1. Launch PuTTY.
  2. Select Connection > Proxy
  3. Select SOCKS 5 and enter the proxy hostname or ip address.
  4. Change the port number to 1080.
  5. Select Session.
  6. Select SSH as the connection type and enter the SSH hostname or ip address with port 22.
  7. Click Open.
