What is the packet capture filter I should use for Yahoo Messenger IM?
The following example uses the Yahoo subnet IP as the filter; the Yahoo Messenger server IP that you connect to is dynamically assigned from this pool.
ip host A.A.A.A or net 22.214.171.124 mask 255.255.0.0 or net 126.96.36.199 mask 255.255.0.0 or net 188.8.131.52 mask 255.255.255.0 or port 53
where, you must replace A.A.A.A with the client IP.
The command above captures the Yahoo Messenger traffic as long as there is no WCCP GRE encapsulation or no VLAN tagging.
