Problem Description

You get a server certificate expired error when downloading the Bluecoat Web filter dataset
ERROR:  Server certificate expired or not valid
Running SGOS 3.2.5 or later.

Resolution

You get a server certificate expired error when downloading the Bluecoat Web filter dataset

If you receive the following error when downloading the Bluecoat web filter you are most likely using the expired URL https://bluecoat.downloads.cerberian.com/dbupdates/bluecoat.db.

ERROR: Server certificate expired or not valid

The expired URL was migrated to a new URL when SGOS 3.2.5 was released. The following URL is the valid and current URL for downloading the Bluecoat Web filter database.

https://list.bluecoat.com/bcwf/activity/download/bcwf.db

Resolution:

If you are running SGOS 3.2.5 or higher:
Go to:
Management Console -> Configuration -> Content Filtering -> Blue Coat Web Filter -> click "set to default". This will ensure the proxy is using the correct URL.

Earlier than SGOS 3.2.5:
Go to:
Management Console -> Configuration -> Content Filtering -> Cerberian -> replace the existing url with https://list.bluecoat.com/bcwf/activity/download/bcwf.db
