When defining Xpress-IP addresses, what is the VLAN ID field for?

Problem Description

The Xpress-IP Settings screen has a field for VLAN ID where you can enter a value 0-4095.


You should specify a VLAN ID only when you have multiple virtual LANs on a single Ethernet segment (an 802.1Q trunk). If you enter an ID when one isn't necessary, the tunnel will not be able to form.
