Problem Description

I require a full core dump for analysis when the device restarts.

Resolution

In order to ensure a full memory dump is created when SGOS restarts, please do the following steps:

1.)  Login to the Management Console (https://<ip.address.of.proxysg>:8082/ )
2.)  Go to the Maintenance tab > Core Images > Core Images tab
3.)  For the core image type, select Full
4.)  Click on the Apply button to save your changes.

IMPORTANT:
When full core dump is enabled, the proxy will take longer time to reboot as it generates the core dump.  The duration of reboot depends on how much memory the unit has and how much of it was in use at the time of the restart.  It usually takes between 10 to 20 minutes to generate a full core dump.

For information on how to manually force a memory dump, please see KB3800.  For information on how to manually download core files from the proxy, please see KB4298.
