Management Console doesn't provide enough information on SGOS upgrade or installation failure

Problem Description

An SGOS installation or upgrade through the Management Console fails, but the console does not provide enough information on the failure.

Resolution

Installing SGOS from the command line interface (CLI) can provide additional diagnostic information for installation/upgrade problems.

Note: You can download the SGOS image directly from BTO, but Blue Coat recommends that you copy the image to a local Web server for better response time.

In the example below, slot 3 is empty and is 'replaced' with the new SGOS image from a local Web server.
