Can you describe to me what type of filesystem is used by Director
What partitions are created on the Director appliance?
What size partitions should be present on a standard Director appliance?
All Director appliances run Bluecoat's own Distrinbution of LINUX. It is called Blue Coat Open Platform for Applications- BCOPA. The BCOPA Linux distribution is based upon CentOS and is designed for virtual and hardware appliances running Blue Coat's management applications.
NOTE: Bluecoats older platforms that run LINUX were origonaly called PISA.
1: On an unconfigured Director running version 188.8.131.52 system, here’s a list of the default partitions. To display this, we have used the LINUX df-h command.
/ (root) partition ext3 type for Linux system and size 2 GB
/boot partition ext3 type for boot loader 128 MB
/var partition ext3 type for director application and size is rest of Hard disk
And /local partition is created by director daemon of 28 gigs in /var/ partition.
TIP:The 'var' partition will have a different size for all customers, as this value is the remaining disk space.
2: Once the Director appliance is configured with registered Proxy SGs appliances, overlay files, profiles and backups, you will notice another mount point:
sh-2.05b# df -h
