Enabling the Annonymization Feature with HTTPS acess logs, crashes Reporter

Problem Description

Enabling anonymization with a missing Curl SSL library brings down the Reporter User Interface.

 

Resolution

Follow these steps to duplicate this issue:

  • Install Reporter on a Linux Redhat server that is missing the libcurl library.
  • Follow the steps in KB4606 to enable the annonymization feature of Reporter. 
  • Logout and attempt to log back in.

Results: The Reporter User interface ( UI) is no longer accessable.

Workaround: Ensure your Libcurl library is installed prior to installing Reporter.

NOTE: This issue has been reported to Bluecoat Engineering. If you see this issue, log a service request and quote this article.
