Problem Description

When I log into Reporter 9.3 with the Firefox browser, I am prompted with the following message:

XUL Manager Missing on Firefox

For best results, please uninstall the XUL Manager add-on for Firefox.  Adding the XUL Manager add-on will provide full browser compatibility

Resolution

Support for Remote XUL was removed as of Firefox 4. There is a whitelist that enables Remote XUL, which can be edited using this add-on.

To install and configure the add-on:

1. Download and install the Remote XUL Manager Firefox extension - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remote-xul-manager/

2. Restart Firefox.

3. Click on the Firefox button on the top left, then select Web Developer, and finally Remote XUL Manager to open the management window.

4. To add a domain or IP address, click on the 'Add' button and then enter Reporter's IP address or domain name (reporter.domain.com or 192.168.1.100, for example).

5. Click OK

6. Restart Firefox

You should no longer get prompted to install the XUL Manager Add-on, and you should have full functionality within Reporter
